Preparation Steps

Mix wheat flour, melted butter, eggs, and water in a mixing bowl. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 60 min.

In a pot, sear the beef on both sides. Add red wine, beef broth, onion, carrot, and celery. Cook for 120 min on medium-low heat and shred the beef.

Sauté chopped white onion, red bell pepper, green onion, paprika, salt, and oregano for 10 min. Add shredded beef and chopped hard-boiled eggs.

Divide the dough into 10 portions, roll into balls, flatten, and fill with the meat mixture and cheese. Fold and braid the edges.
Step 5/5
Brush the empanadas with beaten egg and optionally sprinkle sesame seeds. Bake in the oven until golden brown.
