Preparation Steps
Step 1/11
Grease a baking pan with butter and dust with flour, set aside.
Step 2/11
Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F).
Step 3/11
Beat the eggs with the sugar until you get a frothy and lighter mixture.
Step 4/11
Add the oil and beat a little more.
Step 5/11
Add the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt, mix well.
Step 6/11
Gently fold in the hot water until the batter is uniform.
Step 7/11
Pour the batter into the pan and bake for about 55 minutes or until cooked (do the toothpick test).
Step 8/11
Remove from the oven, let cool, and unmold.
Step 9/11
For the brigadeiro cream: place the condensed milk, cocoa powder, cream, and butter in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Stir constantly to prevent sticking, let it boil for about 10 minutes (it should reach a thick consistency), remove from heat and let cool.
Step 10/11
Pour the brigadeiro over the cake.
Step 11/11
Decorate with raspberries and serve.
