Preparation Steps
Step 1/9
Peel and grate 350 g of giraumon pumpkin, 1 carrot, and 150 g of malanga.

Finely slice the onion, mince the garlic and vegetarian pepper, and chop the scallions and parsley.

Combine the grated vegetables, onion, garlic, vegetarian pepper, scallions, and parsley in a large mixing bowl.

Add 1 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon baking soda, black pepper, ground cloves, and ground allspice to the vegetable mixture.

Stir in the 120 g flour and gradually add 180 ml water until a thick but spoonable batter forms.

Cover the batter and refrigerate it for 20 minutes.

Pour the neutral frying oil into a deep frying pan and heat it over medium-high heat to about 175Β°C / 350Β°F.

Spoon small portions of chilled batter into the hot oil and fry for 3 to 4 minutes, turning once, until deep golden and crisp.

Lift the accras out with a slotted spoon and drain them on a paper-towel-lined plate before serving hot.
