Preparation Steps
Step 1/11
Pour 500 ml water into the saucepan and bring it to a boil over medium-high heat.
Step 2/11
Add 200 g millet sankhal and the pinch of salt to the boiling water.
Step 3/11
Stir the millet and reduce the heat to low.
Step 4/11
Cover the saucepan and simmer for about 15 to 20 minutes, until the millet is tender and has absorbed most of the water.

Transfer the cooked millet to the mixing bowl and let it cool until no longer hot.

Add 300 g Greek yogurt and 120 ml sweetened condensed milk to the cooled millet.

Add 120 ml unsweetened condensed milk and 1 tsp vanilla extract.

Whisk the mixture until creamy and evenly combined.

Stir in 2 to 3 tbsp granulated sugar, if desired, and taste for sweetness.

Chill the lakh for at least 30 minutes before serving cold.
Step 11/11
Divide the lakh among 4 serving bowls and top with raisins and ground nutmeg, if desired.
