Preparation Steps

Preheat the oven to 170°C / 340°F and grease or line one cake pan.

Melt the 150 g white chocolate with the 50 g butter over low heat or in short microwave intervals.

Set the melted white chocolate and butter mixture aside until lukewarm.
Step 4/11
Whisk the 4 large eggs with the 150 g granulated sugar until pale, thick, and airy.

Fold the lukewarm white chocolate and butter mixture into the whipped egg mixture.

Warm the 150 ml milk slightly, then stir it into the batter with the 1/2 tsp vanilla extract.

Combine the 190 g all-purpose flour, 30 g chopped almonds, 1 tsp baking powder, and pinch of salt.

Fold the dry ingredient mixture into the batter just until no dry flour remains.

Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and level the surface.

Bake at 170°C / 340°F for about 40 minutes, until a skewer inserted near the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs.

Cool the cake in its pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a cooling rack before slicing.
