Preparation Steps

Finely chop the onion, tomato, and spinach.

Heat 2 tbsp cooking oil in the deep non-stick pan over medium heat.

Add 1 tsp cumin seeds and let them sizzle for about 30 seconds.

Add 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste and the chopped onion.

Fry for about 1 minute until the onion is lightly browned.

Add red chili powder, turmeric, ground coriander, garam masala, curry powder, salt, and tomato paste.

Fry the spice mixture for 30 seconds, stirring continuously to prevent burning.

Stir in the chopped tomato.

Cook for 3 minutes until the tomato softens and becomes pulpy.

Add 500 g ground beef gradually and stir until it is fully coated with the spice mixture.

Cover the pan and cook the meat for 6 to 8 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Stir in 6 cups chopped spinach.

Cover and cook on low heat for 3 to 4 minutes until the spinach wilts and the beef is fully cooked.

Serve the keema palak hot with warm roti.
