Place 2.25 lb (1,020 g) pork loin in the slow cooker.

Measure 1/2 tsp (2.5 ml) liquid smoke and drizzle it over the pork loin.

Sprinkle the pork with scant 3/4 tbsp (11 g) sea salt and 1/2 tsp (1.5 g) garlic powder.

Sprinkle 1/4 tsp (0.5 g) black pepper evenly over the seasoned pork.

Pierce the pork several times with a fork to help the seasonings penetrate.
