Preparation Steps
Step 1/9
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and line the 8 x 4 inch loaf pan.
Step 2/9
Add the caster sugar and zest from 1 whole orange to the mixing bowl. Rub them together with your fingertips until the sugar is fragrant and orange-colored.
Step 3/9
Add the 100 g melted butter and 70 g yogurt to the orange sugar. Whisk until the mixture is smooth and combined.
Step 4/9
Add the 180 g all-purpose flour, 1 tsp baking powder, and 1/2 tsp baking soda. Fold the dry ingredients into the batter.
Step 5/9
Pour in the 120 ml milk gradually while folding. Stop mixing as soon as no dry flour streaks remain.
Step 6/9
Add the 2 tablespoons orange juice. Whisk briefly until the batter is evenly combined.
Step 7/9
Transfer the batter to the prepared loaf pan. Smooth the surface with a rubber spatula.
Step 8/9
Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 40 to 45 minutes. Test the center with a skewer; it is ready when the skewer comes out clean.
Step 9/9
Cool the loaf in the pan for 10 minutes. Transfer it to a wire rack and cool completely before slicing.
