Preparation Steps
Step 1/9
Measure 1 cup milk, 1/2 cup half-and-half cream, 1/4 cup maple syrup, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, 2 cinnamon sticks, and fleur de sel to taste.
Step 2/9
Add the measured milk, half-and-half cream, maple syrup, vanilla extract, cinnamon sticks, and fleur de sel to the saucepan.
Step 3/9
Heat the mixture over medium heat until it reaches a gentle simmer, about 5 to 8 minutes. Stir frequently and do not allow it to boil.
Step 4/9
Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the creamer steep with the cinnamon sticks for 5 minutes.
Step 5/9
Strain out the cinnamon sticks, then pour the warm creamer into a glass jar with a lid.
Step 6/9
Brew 1 cup coffee while the creamer heats. For a cold version, chill the brewed coffee before serving.
Step 7/9
Add 1 teaspoon maple syrup for serving and a small pinch of fleur de sel for serving to a coffee mug.
Step 8/9
Pour in the brewed coffee, then top it with about 1/4 of the salted maple creamer. Stir before drinking.
Step 9/9
Refrigerate the remaining creamer in the sealed glass jar and use it within 7 days.
