Preparation Steps
Step 1/13
Place the rectangular baking dish on a stable serving surface to use as the snack stadium field.
Step 2/13
Draw cutting guides on the cardboard with the pen. Mark two rectangles and two triangles for each stadium balcony.
Step 3/13
Cut the marked cardboard pieces with the utility knife. Keep the two rectangles and two triangles together for each balcony.
Step 4/13
Tape the cardboard pieces together to form balcony sections. Repeat the cutting and taping process until there are enough sections to surround the baking dish.
Step 5/13
Paint the cardboard balconies in a color of your choice. Let the paint dry before arranging the stadium.
Step 6/13
Arrange the finished cardboard balconies around the rectangular baking dish. Leave the inside of the dish open for the snacks.
Step 7/13
Add 2 tbsp (30 ml) coconut oil to the frying pan. Melt the coconut oil over medium heat on the stovetop.
Step 8/13
Add 1/3 cup (80 ml) popcorn kernels to the melted coconut oil. Reduce the heat to medium and cover the frying pan with its lid.
Step 9/13
Shake the covered frying pan gently while the kernels pop. Cook until the popping slows to several seconds between pops, about 4 to 6 minutes.
Step 10/13
Remove the frying pan from the heat. Sprinkle the popcorn with 1/4 tsp (1.5 g) salt and 1 tsp (4 g) granulated sugar.
Step 11/13
Stir the popcorn until the salt and sugar are evenly distributed. Transfer the sweet and salty popcorn to one section of the snack stadium.
Step 12/13
Place the guacamole in a central dipping area of the baking dish. Arrange the nachos around the guacamole.
Step 13/13
Arrange the carrot sticks and cucumber sticks in separate stadium sections. Serve the completed snack stadium immediately.
